Form Your Team

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!

Teams can be any size, from 1 to 100 or more, and we welcome all ages and skill levels. You'll work together over the weekend to create your short film. If you're interested in being added to a team, we also offer placement into willing teams. Tell us what your team needs, or what you can bring to a production, and we'll match you up!

Mar. 22 • Kickoff

take your marks... get set...

At least one representative from each team meets to choose your genre (at random) and learn about the required elements that must be in every short film. Past competitions have used lines of dialogue or props, but no hints just yet! We'll also distribute packets with helpful things like sample release forms and storyboard templates!

Mar. 24 • Submit!

pencils editing tools down!

Return to the Arlene Francis Center and submit your film! We'll watch them together as they come in, enjoy some refreshments and mingle as the weekend draws to a close!

Screening!

watch your work!

About a week after the competition ends our Closing Ceremony and Screening will take place at a local theater. All the films that meet the challenge requirements will be screened!

Invite your friends and family for a chance to see your work on the big screen, get written feedback on your films from our judges, and find out who’s going home with an award for their submission!

Be open to collaboration. Other people and other people's ideas are often better than your own. Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life.
